Need to read Exchange data store from a different drive
I am running w2k3sp2 with Exchange 2003sp2. This is a new build and working ok. The problem is that during a physical server move, the oldserver took a hard knock and the system drive will not boot up. To make a long story short, I've tried everything to get it to boot but no joy. I can however read the drive and the ExchSvr directory. What I need to do is recover all the emails and contacts in the old data store and import them to the new one. Is there ANY way of doing this?
Thanks for any advice at all!

Rebuild the server and install Exchange with the/disasterrecovery switch. Some good guidelines on this here:

That would be wonderfull except that it's a new domain also. This was a very very small shop, 1 server. I've recreated the domain the same but there's no Exchange computer account to be reset. Thanks for the info tho, it's a good read.

Did you just create a new domain and name it the same as the old domain? Do you have a recent System State backup of a Domain Controller in the old domain? You could restore that then be back on track to follow the steps in the article above.
