Need to Move Public Folder edb on Exchange 2007 from one Drive letter to another
I am looking desperately for the proper way to move a Public Folder DB off of one drive letter to another. I am needing to do this to get the publicfolder.edb off drives on an old San and onto a new SAN. We have a CCR cluster. Can we move the DB the same way we do a mailbox DB? where we suspend the storage group copy, dismount the db, and move-databasepath -configuration only? i have read you are not to do this with Public Folders, but unable to find the proper way. Anyone know the right steps?

If the public folder databases is configured to use CCR, you can use the same procedure as with mailbox databases. We did this a while ago, following the guidelines in these two documents: How to Move a Database in a CCR Environment http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997646%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx How to Move a Storage Group in a CCR Environment http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996391%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M
