I have implement the exchange server 2013 for archiving. i have configure retention policy for day or year wise for archiving policy. i didn't found mailbox size wise retention policy for archiving. Mean, if one of exchange user mailbox size limit over before day wise retention policy then the quota retention policy will be affect on that mailbox user

Hi,

When an archive mailbox exceeds the specified archive warning quota, a warning event is logged in the Application event log.

When an archive mailbox exceeds the specified archive quota, messages are no longer moved to the archive, a warning event is logged in the Application event log, and a quota message is sent to the mailbox user.

By default, in Exchange 2013, the archive warning quota is set to 45 gigabytes (GB) and the archive quota is set to 50 GB.

my concern is when mailbox size limit over then the retention policy will be apply that mail data move to archive.

is there any retention policy have for mailbox wise, i know that there is an option for days wise retention policy.

There isn't a policy option to archive items based on Primary Mailbox size in the GUI.  I don't know if you would be able to get creative and make a retention policy through PowerShell or not, but I would assume no at this time until I look further into it.
