Need help with performance point reports to be hosted onto share point

Hi All i'm new to PP. This is what i have done so far.

1) I asked my sharepoint admin to create a test site.

2) From start all programs opened the dashboard designer.

3) Connected to a SSAS and the desired CUBE. Created report and filters, saved to my desktop.

4) clicked on the ribbon and gave the server location as thetest website that was created.

Problems : The deployed option is greyed out, why? Is this the right way to create a dashboard? Once its deployed how can i view the report on the test sharepoint site. Please need help or any documentation will be great.

Thanks

The way I have done it in the past is to create a site > create a BI Center subsite > launch Dashboard Designer from the BI Center subsite and then start building. This helps to connect the dots automatically, however, I would guess that other options would work as well.

A couple thoughts:

Did you create a Dashboard as well to hold the reports and filters? (Create > Dashboard) If so, in the Properties of the Dashboard, you'll want to make sure you have selected the correct Library for the files and master page.

At the bottom of the screen when you are in Designer, does it say 'Connected to <correct url here>'?
