Need help on outside distribution group
I have MS SBS 2003. I'm trying to create a distribution email list servefor a group outside of our normal users. I have created the NAME of the group on the server, but I can't add the users of this group because they aren't users on our server. I have added all their names on my computer into the group. However, I can email the group from my computer, but when I ask someone in the group to test to see if their message is getting out to the group, no one ever receives it!! Is there a simple answer to my problem that I'm overlooking??

You will need to create a contact in Exchange for all the email addresses you want in that distribution list. Then after the contact is created, you can add them to the distribution list. You could then hide the contacts from the global address book so they are not in your outlook address book. But you have to add them to the Distribution List before you hid them from the address book. You can only add members to a distribution list that are visable in the global address book, but once they are added, you can hide them.

You can still use ADU&C to add newly created contacts for external email addresses in DL which are already hidden in GAL.Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
