Need help moving Exchange 2003 to new server!
We are running in couple problems when we try to move Exchange 2003 to a new server !! I have already follow the article 822931 "How to remove the first Exchange Server 2003 computer from the administrative group". But it didn't work . So we hope somoebody can help us!! Thank you!!Here is our question/problem:1. Test mailbox is moved from old server to new server but it can only receive mail. (cannot not send).2. Public folder is not replicated.3. Do you have to add new MX record in DNS before we move mailbox and replicate public folder?4. How to enable the mail flow on the new server?5. I noticed that the old server have the CA service enabled and we also want the new server to generate new certificate but how can we do that? Here is some more details about our problem:Our design: We have one Exchange 2003 SP2 running behind the ISA 2004 SP3 firewall. 2 DC both GC (cluster), 1 MX Record in DNS for old exchange. OWA is enable and the old exchange didn't have any connector on it.We are trying to move the existing Exchange 2003 SP2 standard edition (server 1) to a new (server 2). So we install a fresh copy of Exchange 2003 w/SP2 on (server 2) and I just enable the POP3, IMAP4, SMTP Virutal server protocol and I didn't make any change on them yet. I am able to see the (server 2) listed in (server 1) Exchange System Manager. So I created a test mailbox just to see if I can move it from (server 1) to (server 2). The mailbox is moved sucessfully, so I open my outlook on my workstation to configure it to connect to (server 2). I am able to receive a test mail from my partner send from (server 1) but not to send it back to her. And we are also having problem to replicate the public folder from (server 1) to (server 2). When we check the Replicate status, (server 1) will show the size, item, date and time synchronized but (server 2) show nothing at all.
