Need help, groove 2007 manager not able to relay using my exchange 2003 server.
I was so excited to get the server installed, now I cannot get the server to email the user config invites since it will not connect to my exchange 2003 server. I am using the same server as a relay for several other applications all granted by IP and all relaying perfectly, but for some odd reason I get an error 5.7.1 from the groove manager that it cannot relay to an email address on the exchange server itself or anything else. The error report from the Groove audit log is Classic.NET AppPool E-Mail error: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Unable to relay for XXX@XXXX.com, occured while sending account code configuration e-mail. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am the only person of my group of frined in IT that is actually using this, so I litterally have no where to turn, and there is nothing I can find online dealing with this. Exchange server is setup to allow my internal subnet to connect to it. And the relay is setup the same way as well as allowing connection reguardless of authentification. (Tried to open it up so much just to try to get the server to connect.) The Groove 2007 Manager is installed on a 2008 R2 64bit server with IIS 7 and IIS 6. SMTP setup on the groove server is to connect to the exchange server using a domain admin acocunt (Just to get a connection going) And nothing i have done has seemed to work. Help.....please.... Thanks a bunch.Russell Mayo
