Need a new server - suggestions?
We currently have one server that does a lot of things. Here are the specs:
IBM xSeries 250
4 Xeon 950 MHz
4 GB RAM
2 RAID disks, and it connects to our SAN
Windows 2000 Server
This server acts as:
Our DNS server
Exchange server
Print server
Active Directory Management
We have been experiencing numerous problems on this, particularly the RAID controller keeps failing. It's generally slow and the director thinks we should just replace it. Who am I to argue??
So, perhaps some of you have some insight on what might be a good replacement? We have mostly IBM equipment for our important servers, and they seem to work well for us.
Thanks for any suggestions.

You should at least look at these requirements

But most servers sold today will meet your requirements

We have two x3655's that have worked flawlessly for us. Both are hosting MS Virtual Server sessions, and one is our pseudo-production Exchange 2007 machine. I would recommend them, based solely on personal experience.
