Need Help with PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer

Good Morning All,

I'm new to the PerrformancePoint Dashboard designer. I'm trying to create a new report and i'm having some questions and will be very appreciative if any gurus can point me in the right direction.

1) In the final report viewed by the user how can i display both graph and grid?

2)In the report i need to see the filters and the user should be able to make selections (need ability to select multiple values from each filter) is that possible? Also in the designer the fileds that i add in the background will be transformed as filters in the displayed report?

3) How can i acheive the heirarchy in the filters? (For example if my first filter is YEAR , then the second filter which is a QUARTER or YEAR should only show the QUARTERS and MONTHS for the selected year , instead its showing me the QUARTER and MONTHS for all years).

4)Can i display the fields that are used as FILTERS  as either a row or column?

5)For some reason the count of the records is getting doubled. In the CUBE Browser  i'm getting the exact count and when i tried to create the report in the dashboard designer i'm getting double the number of records.

Please need help.

Thanks

This is what i did. I created a report without any filters (no fileds added to the Background section). Now i created 4 new filters outside the report under the PerformancePoint Content. Now i created a new dashboard and added bot the report and the filters to the dashboard. Here are the problems that i'm facing now. I do not have the ability to select more than one value under each filter (i'm not talking about Cascading). For some reason even when i change the filters the content is not changing can anyone please guide me in the right direction?

Thanks

It sounds like the attributes you are using are a calendar hierarchy and you should simply reference that or create a user defined hierarchy in your dimension to reference if you do not have one already.  That would simplify this setup.

In order for it to work as-is you would need to make sure you have all of the attribute hierarchies included in your report so that you could properly create the connections between the four filters and the report.

"Here are the problems that i'm facing now. I do not have the ability to select more than one value under each filter"

When you create a filter choose multi-select tree option.

1. You can display both grid and graph by using 2 reports on one dashboard.

2. Use multi-select tree filters, the dashboard will allow you to connect filter with whatever axis you need.

3. First you will need to verify Time hierarchy in your cube. Next you need to configure Time tab in Dashboard Designer. Finally create a filter with correct hierarchy selected.

4. Can be done in your report query.
