Need Help Creating Word Template

I have been watching Lynda.com, youtube, etc. to learn how to create a Word template for some proposals I use frequently and spend a lot of time working in. However, while I just can't retain how to do it and once I get into it I start losing my way. Wondering if there is anyone that is willing to set up a template for me or perhaps a resource that I can go to do it.

The template is not complex, its just a real estate proposal only a few pages but would like to keep simple and uniform.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi,

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to start Word with the personal template. Am I right?

If yes, we can't prevent Word from loading Normal.dotm into memory. To work around this issue, we can add the /n switch to the Word template shortcut to start without a blank document. See "How to use startup command line switches to start Word 2010, Word 2007, Word 2003, Word 2002, and Word 2000" at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=210565.

If I misunderstood something, please feel free let me know.
