Ndr between Exchange 2003 to exchange 2010 sp1 users
Hi I am in the middle of an exchange 2003 to exchange 2010 migration and am getting NDR's from users on the 2003 server when trying to send to users on 2010. The scenario here is root forest domain 2003 and tree root domain for 2010 , replications is working well, dns is set up and working well. Exchange 2010 has the smtp send connector and all mail is recieved and send by the exchnage 2010 server. All external email from all usrs regardelss of server are fine. when a user that mailbox is on the exchnage 2003 server sends an email to a user on the exchange 2010 server an ndr is generated imidiatelly. The message contains a content type that is not supported (i have changed names to protect the inicent) <2010.domain.con #5.6.0 smtp;554-5.6.0 Corrupt message content 554 5.6.0 STOREDRV.Deliver.Exception:ConversionFailedException; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message Content conversion: Corrupt summary TNEF content. Hi Bam, Are Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 server in the same organization/forest? Any transport rule enabled on Exchange 2010 server? You may also enable the message tracking to see if there is any error. For details steps, see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997984.aspx.
