Name is displayed wrong with Outlook 2013 and outlook.com outbound mail

I am using an outlook.com email address and for five weeks everything worked great.  I registered the email address wit outlook.com and put in the User Name of Gregg Goldstein.  Frida, July 17th, morning all of the folders in outlook2013 for the outlook.com account were empty.  Going onto outlook.com, Ipad or android App and the folder were populated.  after doing some searching, I decide to delete and add the account back and now the folders were populated.

All of the outbound mail I sent on Friday went out as gregg golds instead of Gregg Goldstein as the username, regardless of where it was sent from.  I spoke to the people at the answers desk for Microsoft and they said that an upgrade was done to outlook.com and give it another 24 hours or so.

now all my outbound mail sends the name as gregg Goldstein instead of Gregg Goldstein and to me this is unacceptable.  Can someone please advise me as to what setting is still wrong or if it is a bug and if its a bug, when will it be fixed?

Thanks,

 Gregg Goldstein

Hi,

Please check your profile name for Outlook.com, please sign in to http://profile.live.com/. Make sure the profile name in the web page is displayed as Gregg Goldstein correctly. If it is wrong, click on edit then save it.

In Outlook 2013 client side, please do the following settings:

1. Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

2. Double-click your Outlook.com account.

3. In the Change Account page, change the User Name and Your Name to match Gregg Goldstein.

4. Click Next and Finish the settings.

5. Restart Outlook client.

Then check whether the issue persists.

Winnie,

When trying to change the account name in outlook 2013, it wont let me, the field is locked.

As far as the profile is concerned, I have verified that the name in account.microsoft.com is correct as well I also made sure that the name in the profile when I clicked on my picture in outlook.com web site matches what I want as well.  I actually even changed it to John Doe and my outbound name stayed the same.

Thanks,

Gregg Goldstein
