We have a Windows Server 2003 R2 as DC with Exchange 2003 installed.
We will be implementing a new SBS 2011 - AD and Exchange will be setup from scratch and all data transferred. Once completed, the AD/Exchange roles from the old 2003 will be removed (dcpromo, Exchange deinstall). The old server will remain as a standalone
server in the new domain.
Before we do this, we would like to make a backup of AD & Exchange, so that we can restore the old server back to it's old role in case the migration fails. Using NTbackup, it is enough to simply backup
System State and Exchange? Should something go wrong, can these be easily restored?
