NO Server Unavailable. 15 on Exchange 2013

Hello,

After a SELECT "INBOX" I'm getting NO Server Unavailable. 15

SELECT "INBOX"
NO Server Unavailable. 15

Any ideas?

I've tried all sorts of adjustments to IMAP to no avail.  This used to work on our Exchange 2010 server but since migrating to 2013 we are having issues.

Hi ,

Need more clarity on your query. Please share me .

1.Are you trying to configure the mailbox account on imap ? If so on which stage you are facing the error ?

2.Is this issue is happening for all the users else for an single user ?

3.For imap configuration below mentioned services need to be enabled on exchange cas and mailbox server.

Cas server :

Microsoft Exchange IMAP4

Mailbox server :

Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 Backend

4.Make sure the respective mailbox is having imap feature is enabled on it.

get-casmailbox -identity "nithya@abc.com" | ft -au

5.Most importantly we need to assign the san certificate for the imap service in exchange.

6.If all of the above settings is fine , then the final option would be to enable the protocol logging for the imap in exchange to have a deep dig on this case.

Please feel free to reply me if you have any qu

Need more info, you can try testing logging in using telnet

telnet cas 143

login corp\myusername MyPassword

If you're getting Bad command you need to make sure you have plain text logging enabled at least for testing purposes. However, once it's working I would suggest going enforcing secure imap only.

Okay, I think I finally got it to work.  Apparently Exchange 2013 has a bunch of self-imposed limitations that are set way too low.  As soon as I adjusted those, had to wait a a few hours for it to propagate and restart services things started working.

Can you provide some details on "self-imposed limitations" and how you "adjusted" them?   I'm sure there are others that could benefit from the solution as well.  I
