NDR reports being sent for removed users
Hi, we have recently encountered a problem where users are receiving NDR's when sending to a specific distribution group on Exchange 2003. The NDR's are from users who have had their AD accounts removed and their mailboxes removed too. Those users are no longer in the distribution group, nor any subgroups that are in that distribution group. One particularly strange happening - currently when a message is sent to this distribution group, you get 3 NDR's. 2 of them are from the same user.Does anyone have any ideas what is going on here? We are certain that it is nothing to do with the NK2 file on the clients, this is happening for all users who send to this group and also for users whom I have edited the NK2 file to ensure there are no entries for these former users. Thanks in advance.

Ive seen issues like this arise before when someone had previously given delegate access to a user that has been deleted, the deleted user remains in this users delegate list and results in NDR's being generated, normally ive seen this with calendar invites and such but I imagine its also possible with distro groups, unfortunately the only 'fix' we found was to get the users to check their delegate access list in the Outlook options menu, removing any deleted users from the list stops the NDR's.My blog: http://www.monkeydust.net | Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/MrYiff
