NDR Reports Exchange Server 2003
Hi I am trying to trace an email that was sent to a user within our organisation. When I try trace the email through message tracking it is saying that it was an NDR. When I right click the NDR properties is greyed out. Does anyone know why this is or is there anyway of accessing the failed email as the user needs it urgently? Thanks in advance!

Unless the email came from externaluser then you will not be able to trace it throughinternet headers. If its NDR, then the message should be attached by hitting Send Again on the NDR. You could also check your Badmail Folder as it mayhave been dumped in there.

Dear customer: In order to better troubleshoot the issue, please collect the following information: Send the screenshot of the error to v-rocwan@microsoft.com for further analyze. Did the sender receive NDR? If so, please forward the complete NDR to me. Are the sender and recipient belonging to the same Exchange server or not? Are the sender and recipient belonging to the same routing group or not? On Exchange server, open Event Viewer, right click application, select clean all events, and then open registry editor, navigate to the following registry, right click categorizer click modify, input 7 under value data. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeTransport\Diagnostics\Categorizer Send the e-mail again and save the new application log as .evt file and send it me. Note: when you send e-mail to me, please let me know the subject of the post. Thanks for your cooperation. If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know. Rock Wang - MSFT

Dear customer: We have a scanner that scans an image then emails it to the internal user. The scanner is set up to use administrator@stpatsmail.com and it was sending this image to bdoyle@stpatsmail.com . I dont understand it, does the above description mean you have installed a third party scanner or not? Thanks for your cooperation. Rock Wang - MSFT
