My exchange server crashed in my 2008r2 based domain. What to do in AD?
I had a complete hardware failure and built a new exchange server. What do I need to do in active directory to clean up after the old exchange server? Note that I have already deployed the new exchange server and the name was changed to somthing different. tconners

What Exchange Server version? For future reference, if you're on Exchange 2007 or 2010, you really should try /RecoverServer since it's WAY easier.Jesper Bernle | Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Awardee

Its 2012 and recover will not work as it just states AD needs to be prepared. Thats my issue. Tombstoned AD objects from the exchange uninstall are blocking me. I need them removed! Problem is every method I have tried fails. tconners

Its 2012 No, it's not. I've given you a link to a blog post regarding your issue in your other posted question in this forum. Please continue on from there. :-)Jesper Bernle | Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Awardee
