Hi Guys,

I'm having problems with Outlook telling me when I have unread emails using IMAP and GMAIL.

The folder only Syncs when I open it.

If I right click the account and query the IMAP folders I can't see the inbox? but it displays along the left hand side, I have also created a send/receive group for this account which has not worked.

Can someone help?

From the description, the problem is that the Inbox of your IMAP account only syncs when you open it, correct? If this is the case, please try rooting your mailbox to see the result. To do this, please follow:

1. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

2. Select your IMAP account and click Change button.

3. Click More Settings button.

4. Click Advanced tab.

5. Under "Folders" heading, type Inbox in the "Root folder path:" field.

6. Click OK and finish the account configuration.
