My Junk Mail filter safe senders list
My Junk Mail filter safe senders list is somehow being sync'd. When I make a change on my laptop the changes appear on my desktop a few minutes later. We are running Outlook 2010 and Exchange 2010 SP1. We have Mailbox, Hub Transport, and Client Access roles. I am trying to avoid an Edge Transport server as we have another hardware appliance doing anti-spam and anti-virus scanning. How is this happening? Does Exchange hold these settings somewhere? Can safe sender lists be pushed through Exchange to all users in my Organization? With regard to #3 we want to be able to allow emails from anything "@ourdomain.com" not to goto the Junk Filter. We are trying GPO as an alternative, but isn't working...Find this post helpful? Does this post answer your question? Be sure to mark it appropriately to help others find answers to their searches.

Hi, The users safelist is stored in the mailboxes and it can therefore be seen from all workstations a user is working from. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125168.aspx The Exchange server can't push safelists to all mailboxes - GPO's should do the trick. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2252421 Leif

The registry key in the second link made it copy the safe senders list. Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\1x.0\Outlook\Options\Mail DWORD: JunkMailImportLists Value: 1 Used this manually, then also tried to configure it using the supplied ADM template provided in the article for Outlook 2010. Problem is I have 2008 R2 domain controllers, so ADM doesn't work. Using ADMX Migrator I was able to convert the file after some tweaking. When I loaded the GPO to our central store it had two (2) "Microsoft Outlook 2010" folders when editing a GPO. I ended up just adding the extra entry to the existing outlk14.admx and outlk14adml files. It is working beautifully now. Thanks for the lead with the support link.Find this post helpful?
