Hi, I understand that you were unable to send email on port 465 with SSL by using Yahoo as the SMTP server. Regarding this issue, please first confirm the relevant settings of the account property is right. Select the email account, then click More settings, in the Advanced tab, please check whether the option This server requires an encrypted connector (SSL) of Incoming server (POP3) and Outgoing server (SMTP) has been checked. And the port for Outgoing server (SMTP) is 465. For more information, please view the link as below: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-06.html Thanks Allen

Hi, I understand that you were using an Exchange Server. In this situation, we need to set the port of the send connector as 465 to resolve this issue. Please open Microsoft Management Shell, in the command prompt, please input the following command: Set-sendconnector identity SendConnector port 465 (Assume the connector named SendConnector) After that, please run Get-sendconnector | fl to confirm the configuration has been taken effect. For more information about the Send Connector, please view the link below: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998662(EXCHG.80).aspx Thanks Allen

I'm sorry I should have specified that I am using SBS 2003 version of exchange. It appears the Microsoft Management Shell is new for 2007.Is there a way, that I am not aware of, that these command work for 2003 as well?

Hi, I understand that the current version of Exchange Server is 2003. So the previous steps will not work out this issue. In this situation, please try the following steps to specify the port: In the ESM, expand the server, find the Protocols, expand it. Locate SMTP, right click Default SMTP Virtual Server, in the Delivery tab, click Outlook Connections button, please change the port as 465 in the TCP port option. Click OK. After that, please check this issue. Thanks Allen
