My Global catalog server crashed...
So a few months ago my 2003 DC that was acting as a global catalog server crashed and burned. I was able to get the thing back up and running but this morning I noticed warring logs like the fallowing Event Type: Warning Event Source: NTDS General Event Category: DS Schema Event ID: 1153 Description: Internal event: The following schema class has a superclass that is not valid. Class identifier: 1279531876 Class name: msExchProtocolCfgIM Superclass identifier: 196676 Inheritance was ignored. Event Type: Warning Event Source: NTDS General Event Category: DS Schema Event ID: 1153 Description: Internal event: The following schema class has a superclass that is not valid. Class identifier: 1279531875 Class name: msExchProtocolCfgIMContainer Superclass identifier: 1279526865 Inheritance was ignored. Event Type: Warning Event Source: NTDS General Event Category: DS Schema Event ID: 1153 Description: Internal event: The following schema class has a superclass that is not valid. Class identifier: 752124777 Class name: msExchExchangeServerPolicy Superclass identifier: 752124761 Inheritance was ignored. And I have quite a few more relating to exchange. So should I be afraid? Any ideas on how to get these back? Fortunately this exchange server isn't live just yet but will be soon. Thanks. Greg

Nothing to worry much. Check the following and if they are good then relax1. Run Exbpa from exchange. (look for AD related issues) 2. Run dcdiag /v /e from existing domain controllers. (look for AD replication issues)3. Run MPS report .4. Run nltest with dsgetdc and dsgetsite commands from the exchange servers. If all of the above returns good results, then just relax.Raj

Well everything looks good. Only issue is 1 syslog problem. Thanks for the help Raj. PS: Any tips on easily displaying MPS reports?

Normally MPS reports are huge. You need some time to analyze it.Raj

Hi,First please verify if exchange work normally. We can check ExBPA to have a health scan.If there's no error, then I think you'd better to post the issue in Windows Server forum to try to get help on how to reject the warnings.http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsserver/Besides,personally, you can try to run repadmin /showreps to see if there's any DC replication related issue.Troubleshooting Active Directory Replication Problems http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727057.aspxRegards,Xiu
