My Exchange 2010 server changed Originating server and preferred domain controller
My exchange 2010 changed originating server and preferred domain controller from DC01 to DC03.
DC03 is on a different site.
I used Get-ADServerSettings | fl and Get-ClientAccessServer. How do I change the originating server and preferred domain controller by to DC01 or DC02? DC01 and DC02 are on the same site with the exchange server.

Exchange will use the first server that responds. If a server in another site responds first, then it will use it.
Do you have AD sites and services configured correctly? Correct subnets etc? That will stop this behaviour. Rather than "fixing" Exchange, you should look at the underlying cause to why Exchange is talking to a remote domain controller first.

Hi Kelsey,
Please firstly confirm all the DC healthy, you could use the DCdiag.
Or, use the Exbpa to confirm some information.
We could change it through following:

Some related issue:

And per my known, the orignatingserver would always change based on the request connect to any DC, it is expected.
Regards!
Gavin
