MySite URLs in Outlook properties. How to change URLs in outlook properties of each user.
My client has 1000 MySites in SharePoint 2010 and all of their individual MySite has pointed ( or has referencce link)  in the outlook propoerties. ( i.e. if you right click on the user in outlook , it shows some properties about each user like firstname, last name, contact details, location, reporting manager, reportees etc..right , some where there about me also there. that points to each user's mysite.  My client manager doesn't know how it was done.  Now we are moving those MySites to SharePoint 2013 and he wants to replace those MySites urls with urls.  ( in 2010 the naming convension was different so they want to change the name of url. )  So what are they ways to do this? Is something might have been done in the AD by AD guys? OR is it each individual user might have added their URL in the outlook properties?  Any light on this will help us greatly.

Hi,

May I know what version of Outlook you have?

I'm not sure if I understand the request correctly, would you please provide a snapshot of what you refer to? Please send the image to our email address:

ibsofc@microsoft.com

Please add the url of this thread in the email for easy tracking.

In addition, the url of MySite in Outlook is stored in the registry, for more details, I hope the following blogs are helpful to you:

Thanks. I understood how it would happen but i would like to know the solution how to change the MySite link to their PROD-MySites URLs instead their DEV-MySites.  Currently its linked to their DEV-MySites.

Request you to share me solution for this. Do we need to write GPO? or some script in AD or what should we do to reflect ( to point ) to new PROD-MYSITE urls.
