Mutiple Edge transport server in Enterprise for inbound and outbound emails .
we are planning for mutiple edge transport server in two different sites .Domain Name : abc.comPrimary MX :mail.abc.comisp Name : shell.comPublic ip : differnent isp here SITE-1 : One edge transport server.One isa server for Owa publishing .two hub +cas server .two mailbox server .Single copy clutser SITE-2 : Domain Name : abc.com (same as above )SecondaryMX :mail-backup.abc.comisp Name : telnet.comPublic ip : differnent isp here One edge transport server.One isa server for Owa publishing .two hub +cas server .two mailbox server .Single copy clutser. question :According to my understanding regarding this scenerios is thatif we are planning for two edge edge transport server one is active and another is for backup .Is there additional thing we need to configure for inbound and outbound emails for additional edge transport server Located in two different sites .does my mx concept is right if not please advice me in this regards thanks for you all .waiting for good reply.syed.syed.arsalan

Yes, looks perfect. I hope you are setting higher preference for secondary MX record so when first Edge Server goes down secondary MX record (Edge in second site) start receiving emails for abc.com. But to provide load balancing you need to set equalpreference for both MX record. Check "High Availability for Other Server Roles" section in below article for further information.
