Multiple accounts primary in the same mailbox
the situation is this; We have two par-time sales workers that do not work the same hours/days. The have the same customers and functions. Now they have there own mailbox and email address. They want one mailbox and one email address. They don't mind losing there own "identity/mailbox" in exchange and the ability to receive personal email messages. Not even there boss. Because we use terminal servers (and session broker) they need to use there own AD account. Just in case they do need to be logged in simultaneous. Also, when replying to an email, the replay address should be the one configured on that central mailbox. Is it possible to have them configured the same mailbox as the primary one? When the open outlook they default get this mailbox (I guess they would, there are no other mailboxes for them they have access to) The alternative I have is to create a new user with the names I want with a mailbox. I could then configure in outlook to use that one and not there own mailbox. We have that situation now for 2 other sales colleagues and want to expand that kind of configuration. The license of our antivirus on the exchange server is limited and this construction will cost me 1 extra mailbox for each "sales group". I am open for options... Kind regards, Rico

Mailbox = AD Account. Therefore you have two options. Option 1 - neither user is mail enabled, but has permissions to the shared mailbox and accesses it through Outlook. Option 2 - one user is mail enabled, the other is not. The user who is not mail enabled has permissions on the other. In both cases the permissions required will be full mailbox access and Send As. Hi Zi Feng, No, I have not configured it yet. This is what i will do: create a new user with mailbox with full permissions for the sales users. It will show up in there outlook automaticly. The users in question will than have time to move there "personal" email to the new mailbox. Then configure outlook to connect to this new mailbox for both users. After that I can remove the personal mailboxes and configure extra aliases so no mail get bounced that used to go to the personal mailboxes. The eye opener was "Mailbox = AD Account". I gues that automatic configuration in a new outlook profile will probably not work in this setup. Thanks you all for the input. Kind regards, Rico
