Multiple SMTP address's & disclaimers
Hi, Im new to the exchange scene so you will have to bare with me a little bit, firstly let me explain the current setup, we have a single dell poweredge machine connected to a 2mb sdsl line, this in turn has Exchange 2007 installed with SP1. Both exchange and windows 2003 64bit R2 are fully updated, nothing else is on the server. We have a50 CAL license and currently using around47 license slots for various user mailbox's. Our company consists of several core company sections, we have fascap.co.uk which is our main organisation, we then have chelco.co.uk and gamltd.co.uk which are sub companies within fascap. Now each user has a mailbox set with gamltd or chelco as their default smtp address which works great. However our admin team need the ability to be able to send from both address's on demand. For example any 'sales' or 'proposal' related email must go from a chelco adress, any agreement/finance based email has to go from our internal brokerage emails, aka the gamltd ones. The next problem is that we use a specialist piece of software being developed for us thats basically an ASP application through IIS/SQL. I dont know what method they are using but this application has a 'mini' outlook with it and directly links to our exchange server. Ive tried installing this ChooseFrom2007 but this fails to work as we have SP1 installed on the server, does anyone know how we can achieve the ability of being able to send from multiple accounts ... Lastly, the next problem is that we need a different disclaimer on emails depending on the address being sent from as these contain the companys phone, registration number, address etc. Any ideas? Im completly stuck now and Id like to get the exchange server working so that we can send emails, e.g my account is mallam@chelco.co.uk but I also need to send from mallam@gamltd.co.uk mallam@fascap.com etc Many thanks in advance Mike

Hi, Sorry to be dumb, but Im new to exchange and the term 'edge server' means as much to me as japanese! What exactly does it mean by 'edge', can I set my exchange server to be an edge server easily? (its not live yet) and what are the pros/cons of it being an edge server rather than a normal server ... Thanks Mike

'Send as' features might cover it. I don't know if I understand completely what you were after. You could get Exclaimer and automate it. That would change the address and use a different disclaimer automatically, 'depending on the address'. Exchange signatures and disclaimers Exchange domain changing Configuring 'Send As' Tell us how you get on (if you're still looking for this).
