Ms access

dear all

my database is on as/400 and i created a system dsn connection in order to be able to execure queries in access.

However, whenever i'm executing an update query, i receive the following message:

ODBC--insert on a linked table ' library_table ' failed.
\\[IBM\\]\\[iSeries Access ODBC Driver\\]\\[DB2 UDB\\]SQL7008 -
table in library not valid for operation. (#-7008)

Any idea what i should do to overcome the problem?
Thanks in advance

So....you leave a bit of detail out that will prohibit anyone from troubleshooting your issue.  In order to further help, please provide your Operating System and your version of Access.  More than likely though you are having a driver incompatibility with Access, and the DB2 driver needs to be updated.  That's where I'd start, I'm not a big DB2 AS/400 guy...

If you want query to make changes in SQL database then you need to give permissions to your SQL database tables for update, Add, delete queries or you need to give permission to your whole database for guest.
