Moving mailboxes between two child domains
We have a forest domain and two child domains. We have a need to move a mailbox or 50 from one domain to the other and move the mailbox to our domains exchange server runing exchange2003. Every time i try to move the test mailbox i can only see the exchange server for that domain. They are in the same administrative group. Any help would be appreciated.

how many exchange servers you have in total. give a detail senario from where to where you want to move and what do you expect to see in move mailbox container. what is missing? if there are only two exchange servers you should see only one exchange server where you can move mailbox. what user account you are using to move mailbox.Best Rgds, Ashish | Unified Comunication | MCTS | MCITP | Please remember to select option "Propose As Answer" if solution work for you | My posts hold no assurances, no promises, and they measured no rights.

Hi, You should describe your organization more detailed (such as the version of source Exchange server) so that we can help you effectively. And I think you should setup a domain trust relationship between the source domain and your domain if you haven’t, and then, try to move mailbox to your domain. For how to move the mailboxes, please see, Moving Mailboxes with the Exchange 2003 Move Mailbox Wizard: http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange_2003_Move_Mailbox_Wizard.html And more information: Moving Mailboxes in Exchange Server 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821829/en-us Move Mailbox Improvements in Exchange 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822892/en-us We could have a further discussion if your issue persists.
