Moving mailboxes across forests
Hello, we are getting rid of our clients current domain and setting them up on a completely new domain. We want to be able to move all of the mailboxes from the old server (which is on the old domain running exchange 2003) to the new server (which is on the new domain running exchange 2007) by using the move mailbox commandlet on the exchange 2007 server. My command gives me the following error: Move-Mailbox : A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name '-'. At Line:1 char:13. It looks like my syntax is correct. Here is my syntax below: [PS] C:\Windows\System32>Move-Mailbox -TargetDatabase "<servername>\First Storage Gro up\Mailbox Database" -Identity Administrator -GlobalCatalog server.domain.lo cal - SourceForestGlobalCatalog server.domain.com - SourceForestC redential $SourceCredential -TargetForestCredential $TargetCredential

Hi calibertech99, Any updates on this issue? Please refer to the document given by Jose, it can help you on this issue. How to Move a Mailbox Across Forests http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997145%28EXCHG.80%29.aspx If the command in your post is what you run in the Exchange Management Shell, I suspect that you have input an extra space before SourceForestGlobalCatalog and SourceForestCredential, please correct the command to have a try. Thanks, Evan Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
