Moving a Storage Group Path
Hi all, We run Exchange 2007 on Windows 2003 machines. I need to move some mailbox databases to a different drive on the server. We have 6 different mailbox groups each with one mailbox database. My question is, when I move the storage group path, what exactly is moving? I assume the database will move when I change the database path, but I don't know what's happening when I change the storage group path. Do databases dismount when you change the storage group path? Does it take as long as when you move the database path? Any help is appreciated.

Yes it does dismount the database as it move the Logs and Check point file. see below how to move Storage Group and database http://exchangeexchange.com/blogs/joel.stidley/archive/2006/08/29/How-to-move-Storage-Group-and-Database-files-in-Exchange-2007.aspxVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
