Moving Public Folder Content from Legacy Exchange Server to Exchange 2007 Server
Folks,
I am developing a plan to remove the last legacy Exchange 2000 server from my Exchange 2007 environment. The plan is going fairly well, but it appears I have run into a snag.
The snag comes from articles.
The first:
How to move Public Folder Content from one Public Folder Database to Another Public Folder Database
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331970.aspx
In this article, it suggests using the following script to move the public folder content:
MoveAllReplicas.ps1
When I researched the script further, it had the following syntax:
The second:
Scripts for Managing Public Folders in the Exchange Management Shell
( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997966.aspx)
MoveAllReplicas.ps1 -Server Server01 -NewServer Server02
The first parameter was explained in the following statement:
Server(Required) This parameter specifies the server to remove. This server must be an Exchange 2007 Mailbox server that contains a public folder database.
Well, I am sure you can see my snag. I need to move the public folder content from my legacy Exchange 2000 server to my new Exchange 2007 server, and this script does not allow it.
If someone could shed some light on this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
