Moving Exchange server 2003 in to new hardware
Hello We are running windows 2003 DC with exchange server 2003 SP2. This server is 6 old. We bought a new server. I installed windows 2003. Join the Domain. Now I am creating additional DC to the existing DC. what are the steps involved to complete the process. Once it is workig i am planning to remove old server Thanks for all the help Suresh

Swing migration. http://www.amset.info/exchange/migration.asp Basically install Exchange, replicate public and system folders, move mailboxes, remove Exchange from the old machine. Hi I would suggest installing another Exchange server into the org and then simply move mailboxes from the old Exchange server to the newly created Exchange server, while you are at this stage I would suggest upgrading to Exchange 2010, no point in going to Exchange 2003 again when it's nearly out of support. As the previous poster said putting Exchange and a DC on the same box is wrong for so many reasons........performance, security, high availability, the list goes on Thanks Patrick Patrick
