Moved Files from mdbdata Directory
Hard Drive was getting full so I moved the log files in the mdbdata directory. Would this cause a problem with the exchange server even causing it not to start?

I guess you moved them manually. Yes, you have just trashed your Exchange. A little bit. You could only have moved them by stopping Exchange since the files would be locked otherwise. If you can move them back before you start Exchange again, please do so. If you cannot, please use ADSIEDIT to change the paths. What to change will be abundantly obvious so long as you can remember where they started off. If you can move them back you can use Exchange to browse yourself to the new location. Hi, How did you do that? What’s your Exchange version? You should use the steps in the following KB to move log files: How to move Exchange databases and logs in Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821915 Thanks, Elvis
