Move a user mailbox that is no longer used
I have a user that has left the company. I want to move his mailbox out of the mailbox store so that it does not impact my 75GB limit. What is the easiest way to do this. I am running Exchange 2003 from SBS 2003. I have one server and one mailbox store. If you need any other information please let me know.

If you want to save the contents, open it with Outlook and copy to a pst or use exmerge. Otherwise, simply delete the mailbox. It will be purged based on the number of days you have set for deleted mailbox retention or you can purge immediately. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274343 http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/mailbox-management.html

Hi, If the user account has been disabled you can simply purge the Mailbox from ESM. http://www.ehow.com/how_6495936_purge-exchange-2003-mailbox.htmlPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
