Move a account to another server
Dear all, I have two domains in two offices ( masterdomain.com is a main domain in office hk, sub.masterdomain.com is a sub domain in office singapore ) We also two Exchange 2010 servers located in hk and singapore office. Two servers don't run faiover or DAG. The staffs sit in office A send/receive the Email through the office A Exchange server. The staffs sit in office B send /Receive Email through the office B Exchanger server. Now, We need move some Email account(including email data) from HK office to Singapore office. How should I do? How to don't effect email send/receive and how to completed it with short time? thank you john

Hi, if both mailboxes are in the same Exchange organization (and it seems that this is in your case), start a move of the affected mailboxes from one server to the other. Details are described here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124495.aspx Both work with Exchange 2010, so they can work during the move. Hi If there is only a few users, you can export mailbox to pst. Then you can create user and import it to main exchange. It wont affect user. Terence Yu TechNet Community Support

Robert, I tried your solution already. The test maibox size is very small (There are ten emails only) But I found that it take about 4 hours to transfer this account.and these hours, I can not login this account. How can I take effect immediately? because the end user can not wait 4 hours thank you Steven john
