Move Exchange 2010 to new Hardware Issues
I have read all the threads that are currently available and also read up on everything that Microsoft has offered on their website, but still can't get it to work. I have two exchange 2010 servers deployed at this time, I was basically migrating One Exchange server to another Exchange server with new hardware. I got the second setup and working, moved all the mailboxes and public folders. Moved the Offline Address Book, etc. But the second exchange server is still not sending or receiving emails, which is driving me crazy right now. I have a dedicated Edge transport server, do I have to setup another Subscription to send to the new server? Or this automatically done? Can someone help me, currently messages are only coming in when the first exchange 2010 is on, and when I turn this off, the new server is no getting any emails. Also, when I try to send out emails, they are not going out and they getting stuck in the Queue. If anyone can help me, that would be great. Thanks. Ravi

I got the outgoing to work now. But incoming is still not working, meaning when I turn off the first Exchange 2010 server, the incoming email is still not getting routed to the new server. The old Exchange 2010 still has to be on? I can see the message in the EdgeTransport Server waiting to be delievered, but it seems as thought the it is waiting for the old Exchange 2010 to come back up. What do I need to do to change this and direct the messages to the new server??? Thanks. Ravi

Figured it out. The incoming messages were stuck because we needed to create a new edge subscription between the edge transport and the new server. After removing the old subscription and creating a new one, everything worked correctly. If anyone has any questions or have this same problem, please let me know and I can probably help you figure it out. Thanks. Ravi
