Mouse and Keyboard freeze / Sleep issue (at times)
Computer: HP A6333W
Op System: Windows 7 32-bit
Mouse: PS/2
Keyboard: PS/2
I have searched throughout the forum but was unable to find a solution to my dilemma. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I understand there are some issues regarding the sleep/hibernate settings and "waking" up. For some reason, since yesterday, the mouse freezes. Sometimes this is after sleep mode and sometimes the keyboard is also involved. Twice
it occured while on the internet reading an article.
I have tried the solutions posted (ie unplug the mouse/keyboard, restart, etc). I have checked power settings, drivers, and tried all suggestions I could find with no success. The only way I am able to resume operation is to shut down, power
up, enter into setup, restore defaults, and then proceed with start up. This doesn't always work on the first attempt, but it has been the most successful solution for now. Even when shutting down, I cannot fully restart until I enter setup (F10)
and set defaults. I ran Windows 7 upgrade advisor to see if there appeared some new compatibility issue, but found nothing.
If anyone has a suggestion on how to fix this issue, I would be SO THANKFUL!!!!!!!
