Modifying room calendar permissions Exchange 2007
Our service desk team need the ability to be able to modify room calendar mailbox permissions for users that phone in. They would like to be able to do this from within Outlook ideally. I have the ability to do this myself because I have Full permissions applied to room mailboxes (Domain Admin). However, any new room mailboxes created permissions are not applied so I need to manually add the correct people before anyone can do this. I looked into the Exchange specific roles ie) Recipient Administrators, Server Administrators but they had no affect. I thought about creating a service desk group that we can use for appropriate permissions to do this but wasnt sure the best way to do it? Is there an easy way to do this at top level? I dont suppose there is, as it would apply to all mailboxes including rooms. Perhaps a Powershell script with parameters to input to enter your name and script would apply full permissions to the recipients mailbox and then apply inputted calendar permissions?

Hi, Based on your description, I understand that you would like to grant full mailbox access permission to a specific group for a room mailbox, am I right? If I misunderstand your concern, please feel free to correct me. For granting the full mailbox access permission, please refer to the following commands: Add-MailboxPermission "your Room Mailbox" -User "your group" -AccessRights FullAccess for detailed, please see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996343(EXCHG.80).aspx And here is more information, Resource scheduling in Exchange Server 2007: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/05/14/438944.aspx Best regards, SerenaPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
