Mobile access to exchange 2003 dissapearing after network card driver reinstall
Hi! Yesterday i updated my network card drivers (to the latest version) to fix a problem with my server beeing temporarly unavailable due to old drivers not supporting tcp-chimney (NDIS 6.0?). The network card chipsett is 2x broadcom bcm5708c NetXtreme II GigE and 2x Intel Pro/1000PT Dual Port Server Adapter . Two of these networking adapters are used to access my SAN (one broadcom and one intel). The problem occurs after the driver was installed making the exchange server unavailable to outside of the firewall on mobile units. The remote web exchange is still operating nicely. Is there some place you have to configure what network cards that is available to use for the exchange server on certain ports or alike or can it be another problem?

Hello, Please run Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ to do an ActiveSync test, it will guide you some general steps for troubleshooting the issue. If the issue persists, please paste the result in that website to the forum, and let me know if there is any related event error in event log. Thanks, Elvis

Hi Elvis and thanks for the reply! I have tested the connectivity and it stops and gives this error-message: Attempting to FolderSync command on ActiveSync Session: FolderSync command test failed. Additional Details: Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP 500 response. It links to this site: http://technet.microsoft.com/nb-no/library/dd439375(en-us,EXCHG.80).aspx . It links me further to this site: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=817379 with alot of suggestions to what can be wrong. All of the errors are based on seeing an error in the event log that i cant find. I have done some searching and found that the HTTP 500 response can be alot of different things including a wrongly configured sharepoint server. I know that the server runs sharepoint 2.0, possibly because it is a Small business server. Im thinking of removing the sharepoint server to see if it works, but i dont think that can be the problem because it worked before i reinstalled the network drivers. BTW: after i reinstalled the networking card drivers and got the pi also installed a new not self-signed certificate on the server Thanks!

Hi, I suggest you run Exbpa to do a health check and see if it can find some clues. At the same time, please let me know if there is any related event error in event log. Could you please send me the related IIS log at \WINDOWS\system32\Logfiles\W3SVC1? Please provide me a test account information thus I can configure the ActiveSync in my side and do some checking: a. Root Certificate (zip and root certificate and send to me) b. User Domain c. User Name d. Password e. Server Name configured in Active Sync f. URL for OWA accessing My email is v-elvwei [at] microsoft dot com Thanks, Elvis
