Missing icons within all Office 2013 products

I have Office Professional Plus installed on 3 machines (1 PC 2 laptops). On one of the laptops all products are missing the 'help', 'ribbon display options' 'minimize', 'maximize' and 'close' icons.

The quick access bar is displayed white and the tooltips do appear for the missing icons and clicking the general area does actually perform the required action. The 'FILE' tab has white text but the background is not black as on the other machines so visibility is poor, when going to 'FILE' tab the back arrow button is not visible but does function.

I guess I'm missing a trick, but what

Hi,

Try to change Office Theme to another theme to check whether the issue is caused by such settings.

And check to see whether the color of the Windows setting is the same as the other two computers.

All devices set exactly the same, changing the scheme does not help (windows or office )

Hi,

Could you give us some screenshot to understand the issue better?

And also, try to repair or re-install Office 2013 to check the issue.

If the above method cannot solve the issue, then start Windows in clean boot to check whether there is any third party services caused this issue.

Hi,

Have you tried repair or re-install Office 2013?

And have you tested with Windows clean boot to check the issue?

Has there been any resolution to this? I have spent 4 hours on phone with Microsoft, they managed to restore my computer, i lost everything we re installed, after a clean install of windows 7. Still all buttons are missing I don't know what to do.

I have found this tip in other forum:

Just remove FastPictureViewer !!

That's it! it worked for me.

I had problems with all icons in Lync, scroll bars in word, all office 2013 missing maximize/minimize/etc icons. Even the windows calculator showing a transparent background and messing all the digits in the display area got fixed.

I had unsuccesfully tried changing video drivers, removing/reinstalling .net, visual C redist libaries, clean boots .... :(

Hope this makes somebody else as happy !
