Hi Jim,

Is this a recently happend issue? Have you ever made any changes prior to the issue? Also, does this only happento PowerPoint 2010? What about other Office applications?

This errors related to msvcr80.dll may occur due to many different situations. For instance a faulty application, deleted or moved file, malware or damaged registry.

Please try below steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Repair Office from Control Panel, restart computer then try again.
  • Check and install any available updates to Office and Windows. It is always recommended to keep your current up to date.
  • Try a search for the msvcr80.dll file on a computer which doesn't have this issue, then copy and paste it to your computer (the path of this .dll file should be C:\WINDOWS\system32).

Hope this helps.
