Missing Meeting Requests
I have a user I support that is having problems with inbound meeting requests. Some of the requests go straight to Deleted Items. Another user in the same company receives them with no problem. This occurred with Outlook 2003 and is continuing after upgrading to 2010. The exchange server was also upgraded to Excahgne 2008. There are no rules running on the client PC to deal with the requests automatically. The problem user does use a Windows 7 phone, while the unaffected user has an iPhone. There does not seem to be a pattern for the requests that are being deleted. Also, once in a while, a meeting request will just not show up anywhere in this user's world - PC, phone, inbox, deleted - it just is never delivered and the sender does not get a bounceback. Any thoughts?Walt Schroeder

What version of Exchange are you running if its 2007 or higher run this: Get-MailboxCalendarSettings 'user' | fl AutomateProcessing You should see AutomateProcessing : AutoUpdate, if you see, "AutoAccept" at the end then thats your problem. Then you will need to run: Set-MailboxCalendarSettings 'user' -AutomateProcessing AutoUpdate DJ Grijalva | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 SPA 2010 | www.persistentcerebro.com

Some of the requests go straight to Deleted Items. Another user in the same company receives them with no problem? above happens, w hen the another user set the resource scheduling option in his outlook to automatically accept new meeting requests. The problem user does use a Windows 7 phone did this user process the meeting requests in his mobile, if he is accepting/declining new meeting requests, he has to perform the same in his outlook profile. better not to process any meeting request in handheld device. a meeting request will just not show up anywhere in this user's world - PC, phone, inbox, deleted - it just is never delivered and the sender does not get a bounceback Perform a message tracking, you will come to know, where the meeting get delivered. also you can use the tracking option in outlook

I would check the users settings for Resource Scheduling (File|Option|Calendar) in Outlook. It sounds like he/she has it turned on.:Martina Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi Walt Schroeder, Above gave some good suggestion, any update for your issue? Per your description, you upgrade the outlook 2003 to outlook 2010, and upgrade the exchaneg to exchange 2007(if you use the sbs 2008), right? Could you please post the detailed information about your email system. 1. Is the migration between the cross forests, or install the SBS 2008 in the SBS 2003 scenario, there is also a forum specially for SBS, you could post the migration issue on that forum, you will get more help from there. 2. Do you make the tests with using the outlook 2010 and exchange 2007, which version do you use, please confirm they are all latest version. 3. Per your description, some users are using the mobile devices, confirm they all have the latest version, per my know, some issue caused by that, we could retrieve some exchange extracing log to analyze the issue. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971878 And the related information for you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2222377 Regards!
