Missing Mailbox
Hi, I have managed to lose one mailbox during migration from Exchange 2003 to 2007. Here is a brief overview of what happened... Exchange 2003 in place with about 40 mailboxes (server1). Exchange 2007 RTM x86 installed for trials (server2). One mailbox moved from 2003 to 2007. Ran trials for several weeks. Exchange 2007 RTM x64 installed for migration. Single mailbox moved from server2 to server3 - still working. Further mailboxes moved from server1 to server3 over a few days - still working. So far, so good. Then noticed that first mailbox (which had been moved from server1 to server2 and then server3) was listed as a "linked mailbox" rather than "user mailbox". Disabled mailbox but did not show up in server3's "disconnected mailbox" list but in server2's! Reconnected mailbox and it showed up again on server3 but could not log into it using owa. Disabled it again but now it shows up on neither server's disconnected mailbox list. Does anyone ahve any idea as to where this 1GB mailbox has gone and more importantly, how to recover it? Thanks in advance, Ged Pierce.

Hi, Can you see the mailbox from the 2003 ESM or aduc?? And don't disable the mailbox again, you can change a mailbox from linked to user using adsiedit Leif

Thanks for the response. The missing mailbox has now appeared in the disconnected mailbox list. I don't know why it took so long but i should now be able to resolve the issue. Thanks again.
