Missing Green Checks on Synced files in OneDrive for Business

We are deploying Office 365 ProPlus in our environment and as part of that, we are migrating data to OneDrive for business.  We have seen a handful of machines where the icon overlays don't seem to be working properly.  Users set up their OneDrive for Business sync and then start adding files to the local OneDrive for Business folder.  We see the icon overlay for syncing (two blue arrows) kick in and if there are invalid characters, we get the red icon overlay.  The issue is that when the sync completes successfully on these systems, we do not get the green check mark on the folder or file in explorer.

We can confirm in the office portal that the files are syncing, but we would like to be able to restore the green check marks for the users.

Yes thanks for the help. The helpful information actually came from the Dropbox KB referenced in the comments of the blog post. Every system we had with the missing green check marks also had Dropbox installed. Since windows only sees the first 15 icon overlays from the registry, Dropbox was placing about 8 and they wrap them in double quotes so they are listed first alphabetically, even before the SkydrivePro entries with a leading space. Removing the Dropbox software has resolved the issue in each instance.
