Migration to exchange 2013 in new forest
we have a We have a brand new forest and have installed exchange 2013 Email is flowing properly for new users. I need to migrate my users from the original forest to the new forest. I ran the .\PrepareMoveRequest.ps1 Then the ADMT to migrate sid history. I have been trying to move my mailboxes from our exchange 2007 in our first forest to the exchange 2013 in the second forest but have been unsuccessful. I have tried using the new-moverequest cmds but only received errors. Then I ran the new-migrationendpoint cmd and created a migration endpoint but when using the GUI to move to this forest there are no users to select. Does anyone know if this is supported? Thanks, David

Hi Remote move requests from Exchange 2007 or 2010 to 2013 are not supported at the current patch level for 2007/2010. These will be updated next year to add this functionality. Cheers, Steve

Hello, Yes, the preview version does not support the migration. I have looked at the release notes. They talk about coexistence in the same Forest. These servers are in different forest. I am not running the preview version.

Hi Coexistence is currently not supported until 2010 SP3 and 2007 SP3 RU8 (probably) - this applies to servers in the same forest and to mailbox moves to other forests running 2013. Cheers, Steve
