Migration from exchange 2010 to exchange 2013

I Upgrade from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013,non DAG environment.

Two servers 2013 CAS role ,two servers 2013 Mailbox role are installed.
I plan on going to install DAG 2013.
Question: Scenario 1> Install DAG 2013 first and then move Exchange 2010 user mailboxes to DAG 2013 members.
Scenario 2> first move Exchange 2010 user mailboxes to two Exchange 2013 mailbox servers, when finished install DAG 2013 on it.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

I would configure the 2013 Environment exactly the way you want it and test everything (like client access/mailflow, etc) before moving real users from the 2010 environmemt.

Also, if you move mailboxes to E2K13 before configuring a DAG, there is a risk that the sole E2K13 could fail and you have no redundancy then. If that risk is acceptable or not is something you would have to decide.

Hi,

We can install Exchange 2013 firstly and deploy the Database Availability Groups for Exchange 2013. When evetything can work fine in Exchange 2013, we can move the mailboxes and Public Folders from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.

Agree with Winnie Liang. Setup the final DAG configuration first, then migrate.
