Migrating user in Parent domain to child domain email issue
My set up is this: Parent Domain running 2003 AD/Exchange 2003. Child Domain running 2003 ADI just recently configured a child domain. I ran the Exchange setup /domainprep on the child DC. I created a RUS for the child domain on the parent Exchange server.I am using ADMT to migrate some mail enable users to the child domain. I am only running Exchange in the parent domain. When I fire up ADMT and choose to do a User Migration, everything works with no errors. I see the user in the child domain. However, when logging on as that user in the child domain, that user cannot access their email using Outlook. The user is no longer listed in the GAL and in ESM on the parent domain, the users mailbox has an "x" next to it, like it was deleted. If I go into ESX and try to reconnect the mailbox to the user in the child domain, that user is not listed as a user I can reconnect the mailbox to.Any ideas?!?

Well, after waiting 2+ hours, the mailbox became enabled again and the user in the child domain can log into her mailbox from a child domain client. We have a 100MB link to the site and there were no replication issues, any idea why it took over 2 hours for the child domain user to be able to access her pre-existing mailbox in the parent domain after using ADMT?
