Migrating to Exchange 2013, do I need to run PrepareAD for existing Exchange 2010 environment?
Hello, We do plan to migrate to Microsoft Exchange 2013. Currently we have Exchange 2010 environment. I wonder if I need to run setup.exe /PrepareAD before installing Exchange 2013? BTW in my lab environment everything worked well without running /PrepareAD. Thank you!

Hi, The setup will check if AD has been prepared and if it founds that it hasn't...it will do that for you, if you are running the setup with required permissions that it. You do know that Exchange 2013 RTM is only supported in a greenfield environment (=No existing Exchange ORG)? Exchange 2013 CU1 is planned scheduled to be released next week, so I highly suggest that you wait with your installation. See: Exchange 2013 RTM CU1 Status Martina Miskovic

Thank you for helpful information, actually I've planned just to install SP3 on our Exchange 2010 servers for this weekend. I will wait for CU1 and I hope there will be available information on technet about migrating to Exchange 2013.
