I am planning our migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013, and am looking at using Address Book Policies (ABP). Years ago, someone here followed the directions in White Paper: Configuring Virtual Organizations and Address List Segregation in Exchange 2007. According to Scenario: Deploying address book policies, I need to follow Migrate to Exchange 2010 Address Book Policies from Exchange 2007 Address List Segregation. 

The directions in "Migrate to Exchange 2010 Address Book Policies from Exchange 2007 Address List Segregation" reference Exchange 2010, but I don't see any reason I can't just use a Exchange 2013 server instead. Is that correct?

We can use the steps in Migrate to Exchange 2010 Address Book Policies from Exchange 2007 Address List Segregation to migrate Exchange 2007 Address list segregation to Exchange 2013 ABP.

The migrate process is similar with Exchange 2010. For more information about deploying address book policies Scenario in Exchange 2013, please refer to:

being in the same situation as you (have been?) I came across this post and I would kindly ask if you were able to migrate directly from Exchange 2007 GAL Segregation to Exchange 2013 ABP. If you can provide any details (e. g. you installed 2013 into the same or different Exch org) I'd be very happy. Did you just follow the Migration guide to 2010 or did you experience any further difficulties/caveats?

I am in the same situation as Daniel is/was (I see this question is a bit old). Wanting to migrate directly from Exchange 2007 ACL segregation to 2013 using ABP, but there is not any sources (official) that tells if this is a good way to do it. It is also a lack of information regarding migrating from Exchange 2010 (SP2) segregation to Exchange 2013, although this should be straightforward since both versions use ABP, (Exchange SP2). Therefore, I do not expect any problems with that.

Anybody with some experience that want to share some?
