Migrating Exchange 2010 Client Access Role, question regarding external users
Here is what's happening. I have two Client Access Servers currently. One is being decomissioned. All of my users connect externally via Outlook anywhere. I have already confirmed that utilizing the new client access server works, however clients are basically setup (via outlook anywhere/autodiscover/webmail) in their account settings I am seeing the FQDN of the deprecated client access server. I am wondering, if I remove this server.. Since they are connecting via webmail/autodiscover, will they be redirected to the new client access server? Also, even though I'm connecting via the new client acces server my "Connection Status" diagnostics on my test outlook client are still showing that all my connections are going to the old server. Thanks for any help!

Hello, You need to configure the DNS and point the OWA/Outlook Anywhere/autodiscover url to the new CAS server. Then enable the Outlook Anywhere on the new CAS server. Thanks, Simon

Already done, and it seems like it's working... However, in the actual outlook profile on client computers, the URL is still listed as the old CAS server. I am just planning on running a test after hours wherein I'll block access to the old CAS server and see what happens at this point.
